Don't know - I'm New - and my Parkers are from the state of Georgia. My grandmothers, grandfathers, father was Joseph A. Parker born in VA, 1774. Joseph was married to Barbara Redwine and was the son of Daniel Parker. His sons were real businessmen of the 1800s they started with a small mill on the Savannah river and ended up with Parkertown, Hart Co, GA. I descend through his son Rev. Benjamin Blanton Parker and wife Sophia Jane Tyler.

My oldest known Parker is Daniel Parker, b1822, South Carolina. He was in north GA by 1840, living in Gwinnett then in Gordon Co., GA. He was a shoemaker. He had four children: John, Tolbert, Cicero and Josephine. Cicero, b. 1849, GA, moved to Alabama in 1870 and is my great-great grandfather. I test into the Parker Family #7 in the Parker DNA project of Dennis West at UTenn-Knoxville.

My Parkers are from GA. My gggrandfather was Elijah 'Eli' Parker b. 1817 in Green Co., GA. He married Sarah Miriam Sasser (b. 1822 in Cov. Co. AL) abt 1842 Cov. Co., AL. I believe Elijahs father to be Needham (also listed as Keedham in census) Parker. Some believe his father to be William Parker of the Savannah and Isle of Hope, GA. area.
Needham had two other sons, James M. Parker b. 19 Feb 1809 d. 23 Sep 1883, married Elizabeth Ann Cauley
I have a great line of descendants on them. Also, Henry Parker b. 1814, m. Charlotte 'Lottie'. According to the
1820 Cov. Co., AL US Census Needham was bet 50/60, his wife bet 40/50, a female bet 15/20 and one 10/15.
I am also a new member here and would be happy to share what I have and get info on these Parkers as well.
