Preservation and Celebration of the Parker Family History & Genealogy

My greatgrandmother was Fannie Mae Parker born April 5th 1882. Her mother was a Hood and I think her dad was named elinezor. She married James Sidney Ethridge and lived in Dickens,Texas. Does anyone know where they were before Dickens and What happened to my Uncle George Parker?

Oh my gosh, I can't believe I stumbled on to this post. I remember Fannie Mae Parker (we called her Aunt Mamie). She was my grandmother's sister. My grandmother was Lillie Bell Parker, and I certainly remember Uncle George. My sister and I are trying to build the family tree and we have seen where George Parker was buried in Paris, TX. I remember Ralph Etheridge, my dad's cousin and visited them often in Muleshoe. My dad was Lee Roy Billingsley. As a matter of fact, my dad had saved an old wagon wheel that Aunt Mamie came to Texas on around the 1890s. My research has shown that Fannie or Minnie's dad was Harvey Ebenezer Parker, born in Chickasaw Co MS in 1851. He was the eighth of eleven children born to James Harris Parker and Elisha and Lucy (dean) Bobo. Harvey Ebb's parents cam to MS from Bedford Co. TN about 1840/1841. Ebb's wife was Elizabeth Hood, b April 1858 in Jefferson Co, AL. She was the fourth child of William P and Sabra Susannah (Davis) Hood.
I remember my grandmother speaking of her great grandmother Sabra Susannah.
Holy smoke, we searched the cemetery in Muleshoe trying to find Aunt Mamie, and we think she was buried in Dickens. Is that right? I would love to hear any and all information that you have.
Uncle George died I think sometime in the 1980s. We have not kept in touch very well since my father died in 1981. I remember Ralph and Lois Etheridge and their race horses. I would love to hear from you! My personal email address is stewart3@charter.net
