Over the coming months I hope to be in contact with many of my cousins as we begin to piece together the descendants of Drury Parker. Its my goal to assemble and publish a book of the descendants. I love the web and all and I do expect the lineage to also be available in gedcom format, but books are still very important in preserving history.
I have chosen to go back only as far as Drury because of the confusion around the three Richard Parkers of 17th Century Virginia. This is yet to be sorted out and we are unsure as to which line of Richards is Drury's (and our) heritage.
I would also like to discuss a reunion in Stanly County near the homesite of his two children, Richard and Howell Parker maybe for this Fall or next year.
I have proven our ancestry back to Charlemagne
(44 generations) for the descendants of the marriage of Drury and Elizabeth Barham. Elizabeth's ancestry goes back via Charles Barham and Jamestown and then jumps the pond and quickly into the royal houses of Europe. The lineage is recorded with the Order of the Crown of Charlemagne in the United States of America
, of which I am a member. Any of my cousins wishing to document a connection to Drury/Elizabeth would then be eligible to submit for membership. I can provide you with a recommendation once your research is complete to Drury/Elizabeth.
Feel free to use the discussions to upload data or to give any narrative info. When giving info about a specific person, you may want to start the discussion with something like:
Title: Darryl N Parker Jr
Body: Drury > Howell > John > Isaac > William > William > Sherman > Darryl > Me! - or whoever you were trying to get to so that we can all follow where the person fits.
Just to be specific as to which Drury I am descended from:
b. circa1722 Southampton VA; d. circa 1789;
wife: Elizabeth Barham
