My cousin has done extensive research(big thanks to her) and traced our Parker family tree back to the 1700's However the information on our great grandmother is very slim. I have been told that she was 1/2 Native American and for awhile I thought she was Comanche but it is more likely she was Cherokee. All i know is she married my great grandfather JAMES PRICE5 PARKER. He was born August 12, 1863 in Greenforest, Carroll Co., Arkansas, and died February 10, 1936 in Fort Smith, Sebastion Co.,
Arkansas. He married AMANDA BRAND October 21, 1886 in Greenforest, Carroll Co., Arkansas. She was born Abt. 1867, and died Abt. July 1893 in Long, Oklahoma. She died during child birth (Twins) while in route to Texas from Arkansas. The babies died but she had 2 older sons 1 being my grandfather GEORGE HENRY PARKER, b. March 20, 1889, Greenforest, Carroll Co., Arkansas. I have searched and can find no more information on Amanda. I would love to hear from anyone who might have information of if they could even tell me if Brand is a Cherokee name. I did find a census record for a William J Brand living in Long Creek, Boone, Arkansas in 1880. There were several other folks with the last name Brand living with him but what I found interesting is that there was a 72 year old woman by the name of Mary Parker living with them also. I have no idea if there is any connection or just a coincidence. i woild love to hear from anyone who might be able to help me. My Grandfather would not talk about his mother because he grew up in a time in which you did not want to admit you were Indian...Such a shane!

My greatfather was Joe Parker. I know he married Martha Jane Hester. My grandmother told me her father was indian. I don't know anything more. They lived in Georgia during their marriage. I have her history to 1500's but nothing on him. Please help.

My great grandmother was Mary Saint Parker. Her mother was Lucinda Crittenden, granddaughter of James Kan Ne Qua Tes Ke Crittenden (Cherokee). My other great grandmother, Susey Zora Parker's mother was known as "Black Dutch". North Alabama.

I am the Great Grandaughter of Martha Alice Jane Parker. who married Gus O'Neal. I know there is Native American blood in the family. Gus O'Neal is son of Hill Chichundra O'Neal who I believe to be Cherokee. I have pics and more info on these. Looking for more.

In Regards to William Parker in Virginia in 1748, I believe we are connected. My Ancestor was named John Parker Moore. His father was John Parker Moore, Senior and he married Elizabeth Eleanor Parker of Somerset, Maryland. There is a possibility that William Parker moved to Halifax County, Virginia. It seems that Families were Tight among In Laws and such and they migrated like Herds back then. Anyone with any information, please, respond to my message.

My great aunt was Callie Parker. Her married name was Christie (related to Ned Christie). She married a Parker and we have been told he was one of Quanah Parkers relatives (possibly son or grandson) but we are unsure of which one. Does anyone have any info on Callie Parker or family members?

My mom is of the belief that we r descendants of Chief Quabaha Parker... our family historian is Rev. Wheeler Parker Jr...he is listed in Illinois...PLEASE contact him..we have not been able 2 go further back than 1840 something beginning with Margaret & Milton Parker...There is the issue of the Cherokee Nation not accepting slave descendants as well.. but I am told that we r Cherokee & Blackfoot n orgin..oh, yeah... & Milton was a freed slave... Parker, belongs 2 perhaps his owner?

Does anyone have a connection for Martha Parker, who married William H. Tillery 22 Aug 1860 in Knox County, Tennessee?
