Edgefield co. S.C. deed book...Rec. 4th October 1819 John P. Parker to James Smith, 4 Aug. 1818...207 Richard Blalock of Barnwell Dist. to Hezekiah Watson of Edgefield Dist. 950 dollars "350 ac. in 3 tracts of land whereon I now live on Ridge Road. about 3 mil. above the Old Ridge Road." Relinquishment of dower rights by Martha Parker wife of John Parker 18 Aug 1818.
Does anyone know where this Old Ridge Road would be? Is the person talking about Gates co. N.C.?

Edgefield county S.C. deed book...Joseph Parker, Sarah Jones, Elizabeth Jones and Mary Farless to John Parker of Gates Co. N.C. Power of attorney 28 Nov. 1818 to sell land and Negroes now living in South Carolina being property we heired by death of our Uncle Gabriel Parker of that state.

The son of John Parker and Mary Stone? was born ca. 1719. This Gabriel would have been about 91 years old in 1810. A descendant, maybe...
