I have been researching Parker history since 1969. My Parkers are from Dorchester County Maryland. I believe that some of them had to have migrataed from Virginia (Delmarva Pennisula). For years I have been trying to find the parents of Levin P. Parker (wife Sarah?) He would be my great, great, great grandfather. Levin was born circa 1760. Also beiieve he may have lived in Accomac County, VA. I participated in a DNA project and was not able to get a Parker connection beacause there were no male Parkers left for testing. My father was Allen Lee Parker, Jr. I was born on Hoopers Island, Md. (An island in the Chesapeake Bay.) It would be great to make a connection here. There are also tales in my family regarding an Indian connection. Have not found any proof of this yet.
I am looking for the parents of Sarah Parker (2nd gr. grandmother), born about 1798, who married James Ruark about 1825, Dorchester Co., Maryland.

Bonnie. It would be a great find if we could make a connection between your Parker line and mine. To date I have no connection to my knowledge. But who knows, time will tell.. Best of success with your research. Howard Blair
