My grandfather always said we were descendant of a great indian chief and I have read several books on Quanah Parker including the recent publication of Empire of the Summer Moon.

Hi Christopher-

Do you have any more information on Paul Parker? I am in Chicago and had a great-great-uncle named Paul Parker, but he was in Chicago and then moved to Dubuque Iowa. His parents were Frank R. and Evelyn Parker.

Chris, I've not seen your Paul Parker in my tree but you have possible connections as I've not exhausted every lead in my known line. I am at a dead end with William D. Parker,my 3rd great. who lived many years in Union Co Ill. He raised his family and then sold his land later in life and shortly thereafter died in Ark. 1861. This is a mystery as to why he went to Ark.(possible extended family there?) His youngest son Lorenza Parker joined the Ark. Infantry shortly after William's death. That seems odd as Lorenzo lived his entire life in Union Co Illinois and died there. I found William D. parker's last wife buried in Jackson Co Ill. That is another mystery.
