My 3rd great grandpa was William D. Parker b. 1802 Pa. He moved to Union Co Illinois and married Nancy Wilkinson in 1834. One of their sons, Monroe Dudley Parker b. 1836, is my 2nd great grandpa who moved to Al after serving in the 35th Illinois Inf and 40th Missouri Inf. One of Monroe D. Parker and Laura Wilkerson's children born in Jefferson Co Al was Hetty Tallulah Parker b. 1875 and she married Joseph Wesley Riley b. 1873, Jefferson Co Al. These are my great grandparents who begat Tommie Oma Dee Riley, my grandmother.
I have not connected with anyone having a tie to William D. Parker's parents. I believe they also had moved to Illinois but have not found them. There is a William Parker mentioned on a posting concerning the Blackhawk War in Illinois.
He remarried Missenna Kitts in 1847 after his first wife's death .
My Riley family live in Indiana and came through Kentucky to settle there. My wife is a Parker. WE have lived in many states and could not believe we ended up just a few miles from Where her G Grandpa and Grandpa are from. We really enjoy looking for her family. I have been surprises how many Riley were were buried down here right along side the Parkers. Keep in touch.
