Hello, David Parker of Sylvania   -

Sept. 16, 2012  I see that you have  Duplin NC ancestors.  Would you know of any Merritt ancestors (ca. 1790-1830+) family of older HOH Gabriel who died Sampson or Duplin Co. area ca. 1810 and left a widow Sarah nee? Parker.  She had additional children, then moved them all to Georgia where son Richard Garrison Parker was born ca. 1833.  He was found later in Early Co. Georgia.

If any of the above is familiar, please advise at my page here at PH or my email pandjparker@msn.com.  Thanks.

Hi David,  My name is Dorsie. My mom was Gladys Parker Klem from Corning, NY.  I have been on ancestry.com researching the Parker family.  My grandfather was Council Calhoun Parker, my great-grandfather was Buckner, and Great-great grandfather was Enoch Parker.  My Aunt Ann Parker did research and found that Buckner Parker was married 3 times.  First wife was Ellen Grant (no children), Ruth Wood (married 1845) Council mother, Emily Sue Bradham (3rd wife, married 1856) had children also.

Hi David,
No news regarding my birth father. I've been swamped. My adopted mother, Peg is now living with us. She's blind, 91 and doing well. Keep us in your prayers. Miss talking to you, have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!

Hi David ! Buckner Parker was married twice. Once to Emily Bradham & the other to a Ruth Wood. He had as one of his sons Council Calhoun Parker, my great grand father. His tomb stone was missing so I got him a confederate one in its place. He was in the1st N.C Heavy Art. in the civil war. His wife,
Margaret Judge is buried with him. Can you trace our Parker
ancestors before Enoch? Also , have you done any DNA tests?
I would like to know what group we belong.

Some of my Parkers came from these counties. Our line is in Group 1, P-102. My father told me that some of them came from Wilkes County, NC. I have not been able to definitely find which counties they came from. According to DNA, we are related to Kathy Bryant though.

David,
I'm looking for a connection to John Parker who lived in the Dayton area in 1951 had a child sometime between 1954-1957. John wasn't from Ohio and relocated from the South after high school graduation with siblings to find work. He worked for General Motors (Aldephi) in 1951 and dated Marjorie Rhoades. He was about 6' tall, blue eyes, dark hair, and a dimpled smile. I know very little I'm afraid and looking for any information I can gather. Thank you for your time.
