What is your interest in the Parker family?
My deceased mom maiden name is Parker. I started using ancestry.com using Aunt Ann Parkers notes. However I am stumped on information regarding Buchner Parker wife Ruth Wood. Any information you can provide would be appreciated. Also, my mom used to tell us that the Parkers are related to the Cherokee indians. Is this true?

The Parker DNA project is yDNA only, therefore males only. You could sponsor a male within the same line, I did this in my GM Parker's Dennis line. There is a DNA test for women but my knowledge is limited. I tested with familytreeDNA.com. Mike
