I am actively seeking descendants of Alfred Parker, born 1806 in Bladen County, NC, died 1861 Geneva County, Alabama. Alfred was the son of my 3rd great grandparents, John Parker,1753-1838 and Rhoda Bedsole, 1779-1860. Alfred left NC with his oldest brother, Simon Peter Parker and both eventually settled in Coffee, County, Alabama.
Any one who might know of descendants, please contact me through Parker Heritage.

I have Just received an e-mail from Jim Yarborough's sister, Terry. She informed me that Jim has been
hospitalized. His stay will be indefinite.

George Parker has been a member of Parker Heritage for almost a month and can not get anyone to answer questions about DNA Testing. I am a 6th generation descendant of Thomas Richard Parker, youngest son of John Parker III. Why is it so difficult to get anyone to answer a few questions?
I go to Chat and no one responds. I ask questions of individuals and no one responds. Cold Shoulder?
Will someone with knowlege of workings of Parker Heritage please answer…

Hello, George - The list of things I do not know is verrrry long, including how to finesse fields on this site. However, you may get some joy by contacting either
Mary Parker Fabian, Cindy Neely, or Karen Parker-Galvin. They are several of the many group holders whose Group pages show the "Join this Group" link. Probably they can tell you how they accessed that feature. Or, contact Darryl Parker who originated the Parker Heritage site years ago and has grown up with it year by year. He would know more about the workings than anyone else. Find him as member #1 on the Members button.
Also, I also have never used the chat function, but it looks like fun.
Good luck. Patricia Ross Parker

Jacquie Cartmell said… Hi, George. I'm trying to figure my way through. Can't seem to find the mesage you sent earlier in the week. I am having difficulty linking my Wm. Jasper to John, John, & John, I'm trying to find land records, wills or estates that prove their relationships as being father & son to one another. I am also having difficulty proving that Wm. Jasper (Butler/Coffee Co.'s, AL) was married more than once. The census & my great-grandmother's information are the only proof for that piece of the puzzle.
I look forward to hearing from you!
Roger gerald Potter said… Nice to hear from you. actually my Grandmother Ethel and her two sisters
