Heather,

You're probably right that I'm related somehow to John and Ivy.  The hard part is proving it.  I'm hoping the recent discovery of Emanuel Bowzer's 1790 will might shed some light on this.  Emanuel's dau Susannah was the wife of Hardy Parker.  Emanuel's dau Mary was the wife of Jacob Wells.  A John Parker Sr. and John Parker Jr. were neighbors in 1800 of this Jacob's first cousin Jacob.  I've found nothing further on this Hardy Parker.

Thanks so much for the messages.  I don't check this group as often as I keep up with Ancestry.com, but will try to be better.  Assume we're distantly related if both are members of this group, so it's good to meet you!

Not sure.  I am researching my married name Bailey as well.  What years are we talking about?  Are you on Ancestry.com also?  I am slowly starting the Parker side of my family.  Our Parkers are from Ozark, AL...well, most of them, I think.

Heather, sorry it took forever to respond to you! I forgot about setting up this page. My Grandmother was a Parker. She was a descendant of Cynthia and Quanah Parker.

Hope you are having a wonderful holiday season!
