What is your interest in the Parker family?
My maternal side of the family are of the Parker surname, and I am in the process of compiling a book on them. I would like to be able to locate cousins who might contribute data. I travel back in time to reach my 5th great grandfather, Amos Parker, who died in Northampton County, NC, in 1800. I am trying to reach our immigrant to the US. It has been traditionally said that he was a Thomas Parker, b. abt. 1629. I don't believe this is correct. There is a possibility they could be related. These are termed the "Macclesfield" Parkers. Please contact me, in regard to
your Parker heritage if you think you belong to this Parker family. Amos Parker was married to Mary Farlee. They had ten known children. Saul, (my line), Samuel, Henderson, James, Zerusah (Zerusha, or similar spellings), Tamar, Sarah/Sally, Martha, Mary, and Pennine.

Do you Descend from Amos Parker and Mary Farlee?

They were from Chowan, Perquimans, and Northampton Counties in North Carolina. They died in 1800 and 1812 in Northampton Co., NC.
Their children:
1. Saul.........and Charity Jenkins (my line) They had four known sons:
David, Amos, Daniel and Winborne.
David & Elizabeth Andrews Hayes (my line, photo of grave as my photo on here), Winborne, Amos, & Daniel.
2. Samuel......and unknown wife
3. Henderson...and Elizabeth Winborne, widow of David Winborne
4. James.........
5. Zerusah (Zerusha, Jerusha, or variant spellings) and Samuel Hollowell..moved to Wayne Co., NC and died there.
6. Martha........
7. Sarah/Sally...and Daniel Jackson
8. Pennine....and unknown Newsome or Newson
9. Tamar....and unknown Burgess
10. Mary ....and Josiah Brown
Names prominent in the David Parker male line: John, James, Henry, Cadmus, Cader, Lemuel, Amos, George, William.
Names Prominent in the female line. Penelope, Sarah, Temperance, Elizabeth, Mary.

Who Was the Immigrant/s for Parker Family Group #1 on Dennis West's website?

I have been searching for the immigrant or immigrants for Parker family group #1. We now have 14 matches, with one over in Kirby Hill (or Kirby on the Moor), North Yorkshire, England. I have thought it might be from Browsholme Hall Parkers. In our traditional info, the "Macclesfield" Parkers are given as the immigrants. Using new info, I have disproven that Thomas Parker, considered the immigrant for the "Macclesfield " Parkers was NOT the father for the second Thomas Parker, considered to be… Continue

Please Post Your Parker Migration Routes!

I am interested in having a way to compare our Parker migration routes. We might find our Parkers cross paths, making it more likely we could be related. You also need to consider the changing county borders, ect. This is how mine goes:

Amos Parker (Wife, Mary Farlee), is first found in Chowan Co., NC, to Perquimans Co., NC, to Northampton Co., NC. Died in there in 1800.

Saul, (Wife Charity Jenkins), his son found in Perquimans Co., NC to Northampton Co., NC. He died there in… Continue

Hello, Kathy Jo Bryant - I see that you are a member of the Parker Heritage interest group composed of YDNA tested males matched into the Parker Surname YDNA Project Family Group #7 and affiliates..  I would like to learn more about your background.  I assume your male relative's results are  posted on the Project site?  Could you direct me to it, perhaps with a P number?

Back in 2008 you posted about the family of Samuel Parker and Sarah Beckerdite ... I'd like to communicate with about that posting.  I'm brand new to the Parker Heritage site so is it okay to ask to exchange emails via our private addr or do we communicate solely via the site?  If private emails are okay, mine is johnt@genwebsite.com. Thanks, Johnny

I have ties to Parkers in Northampton County, NC.  My father was born and raised there.  I have recently begun researching my family tree to see how far back I can go.  My grandfather was Willie Marion Parker.  His father was William T. Parker.  His father was Marcus Lafayette Parker, who served with the Confederacy in the Civil war.  To this point I have not found much beyond him.  Any help would be much appreciated.
