- My maternal side of the family are of the Parker surname, and I am in the process of compiling a book on them. I would like to be able to locate cousins who might contribute data. I travel back in time to reach my 5th great grandfather, Amos Parker, who died in Northampton County, NC, in 1800. I am trying to reach our immigrant to the US. It has been traditionally said that he was a Thomas Parker, b. abt. 1629. I don't believe this is correct. There is a possibility they could be related. These are termed the "Macclesfield" Parkers. Please contact me, in regard to
your Parker heritage if you think you belong to this Parker family. Amos Parker was married to Mary Farlee. They had ten known children. Saul, (my line), Samuel, Henderson, James, Zerusah (Zerusha, or similar spellings), Tamar, Sarah/Sally, Martha, Mary, and Pennine.

Who Was the Immigrant/s for Parker Family Group #1 on Dennis West's website?
I have been searching for the immigrant or immigrants for Parker family group #1. We now have 14 matches, with one over in Kirby Hill (or Kirby on the Moor), North Yorkshire, England. I have thought it might be from Browsholme Hall Parkers. In our traditional info, the "Macclesfield" Parkers are given as the immigrants. Please Post Your Parker Migration Routes!
I am interested in having a way to compare our Parker migration routes. We might find our Parkers cross paths, making it more likely we could be related. You also need to consider the changing county borders, ect. This is how mine goes:

I have ties to Parkers in Northampton County, NC. My father was born and raised there. I have recently begun researching my family tree to see how far back I can go. My grandfather was Willie Marion Parker. His father was William T. Parker. His father was Marcus Lafayette Parker, who served with the Confederacy in the Civil war. To this point I have not found much beyond him. Any help would be much appreciated.
