If anyone's wondering why my picture has a "denied" stamp on it: It's because millions of adoptees in the United States of America, (including me) are denied our original birth certificates. (These were permanently sealed from us upon our adoption, and not relinquishment.)

In the "land of the free" in 44 states, your fellow citizens are denied a fundamental right to their own birth records. This is wrong. This is discrimination. Adoptees are NOT second-class citizens!!!

This year's Adoptee Rights Protest is July 21, 2009 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. If you believe that all men (Parkers) are created equal, please attend or support this protest.

Searching For Biological Father, WILLIAM PARKER, Lived On Knott Ave., Buena Park California in 1968

I have been searching for my biological father, William Parker, since I turned 18. (I’m 39 years old now.)

My biological mother, Colleen Monahan, met my biological father in 1968 on Knott Ave. in Buena Park, California. She was living in an apartment there and she met Bill Parker who also lived in the apartment complex with a relative of his. There was a Halloween party and I was conceived. Colleen found out that she was pregnant with me after Bill moved back to Texas and she couldn’t locate him to tell him.

I was born nine months later and given up for adoption at birth. After spending a couple months in foster care, I was adopted.

I met my biological mother, Colleen, when I was 18. We are close friends today. She describes my biological father as being about 25 years old in 1968. He had dark hair, dark eyes, and a medium complexion. She thought he might have been a construction worker and originally from Texas.

If any of this sounds familiar, or you know a relative who fits this description, I would appreciate a response. If it doesn’t ring a bell, thank you so much for your time and have a great day!

Well If you look at my pictures, you can see my grandpa. There is also a picture of my Uncle dave who was born in 1953. I also have a uncle jimmy, and elvin who we call champ. I am not sure of there cousins. All of these parker men lived in that area around my grandparents off of knott. I can ask my mom about her cousins.

Sorry, can't help you. I'm not sure our Parker side is even connected to this one. In the Mid 1800's they came from Penn. / NJ. area and settled in Iowa. I've never lived in California. There are 4 or 5 William Parker's in the Garland, TX phone book and none are related to me.

Good luck with your search. In 1968 I was a freshman in College in IA.
