I do not know who his parents were but on a HANNAH tree, there is a Matthew Gentry Hannah who I believe was named after your Parker. Your Matthew G Parker married 2nd a Louise Hannah bef 1870.

In Oklahoma, I do not know of a single list but go to Chronicles of Oklahoma and search for US Marshals There are many individual US Marshals named for specific events such as the search and arrest of the Daltron gang.

Do they have any male relatives that would be about 65 years old now that lived in California at that time? There was no "relationship" between my parents, they met at a Halloween party. Maybe "William" or "Bill" was an alias or a middle name? (Ya, I know I'm grasping at straws here. I just find this coincidence very interesting.)
