Looking for information on John H. Parker, approximate date of birth 1907

My grandfather was John H. Parker.  In 1928 when my father, Edward John Parker was born they were living in the Bronx, NY.  I would love to find out information on this side of my family.  My father's birth certificate says that John was a cook.  We believe his ancestry is from England but have not been able to confirm anything about him.

Looking for William Parker b 1740/50 married Elizabeth Clark

We have been confirmed to belong to Parker Family Group 7 of the Parker Y DNA Project.

I'm trying to see if William Parker born 1740-1750, who married Elizabeth Clark, may belong to this group. They may have lived in North Carolina.
