Mahala PARKER resided at Virginia before 23 Jan 1849. She Inheritance Highland County, Ohio. From Common Pleas Court Records 1805-1860 Highland County, Ohio
...Joseph PRIEST and Mehala PRIEST, his wife of Virginia, children heirs at law of Nathaniel PARKER and Anna PARKER , dec'd who was a daughter of Daniel TYLER, dec'd....are tenants in common ....lots in Centerfield & 55 acres in Hardin, Redick, & Gray Survey No 1833 of 2000 acres. Parents: Nathaniel B. PARKER and Anna Cash TYLER.

She was married to Joseph PREAS, JR. on 3 Aug 1835. William L. Parker, Surety; Married by I.I. Hicks, Aug 10, 1835.

3 Aug 1835 Marriage Agreement for Joseph Preas,Jr. and Mahala Parker Know all men by those present that we, Joseph Preas Jr. and Mahala, William S. Parker, are held and firmly bound unto Littleton
W. Tazewell Esqr., Governor or Chief Magistrate of this Commonwealth of Virginia (execute) the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars current money of Virginia to the payment where of were and truly to be made to the said governor or his successor in office we bind ourselves and each of us our and each of our heirs executor and administrators jointly and sevarally firmly by those presents. Sealed with our seals dated this 3rd day of August 1835. The condition of their above obligation is such that where as there is a marriage shortly intended to be had and solemnized between the above bound Joseph Preas Jr. and Mahala Parker. If there be no legal cause to obstruct the same thru the above obligation to be valid or else to remain
in full force and virtue.
