Hi there, My grand father was Council Calhoun Parker, my mother was a Parker, Gladys Parker Klem. I have been using ancestry.com and have not been able to find out the last name to Enoch's wife Mary. Any idea? My mom told me that my great grandmother was Cherokee indian. Do you know anything about that? I can't find information on Ruth Wood? Ruth's death certificate on Ancestry.com shows that she was colored.? When I think of colored, I think of black or indian? I've never been to Council grave sight, it is appreciated that you've taken care of getting the confederate tombstone.

John, Thank you for your comment. Do you know if Buckner and Hezekiah were brothers? That is a theory of mine. My G-G-Grandfather Jacob William Parker is listed on the 1850 Census with Calhoun. Both are listed Buckner and Rutha. I believe that Hezekiah died and Jacob went to live with Buckner.
No, I do not have any information on any ancestors before Enoch. He may have migrated here but that is a guess.
I have not participated in any DNA testing but would like to. Do you have information on that?
Have you been to the Parker Cemetery in Chinquapin, NC? Is that were Calhoun is buried? Buckner?
I see you left a comment last August. I apologize if I did not get back to you. Yes, I do think we are related.
To Mr. David Parker,
My mother was born in chinquapin NC . She came from a family of
9 other kids. Her father was Thomas Oscar Parker. Her Grandfather was Council Calhoun Parker and her greatgrandfather was Buckner L Parker. I have been to the old
Parker cemetary in Chiquapin. Might we somehow be related?
